Backup is a new performance by Craig Manson.
The impact of Craig Manson's performance art in Scotland has been revolutionary, and everybody wants to write books about him… but he's decided to pack that all in so he can be a backup dancer instead.
With zero dance training, turbulent self-esteem, and the remnants of a break-up from 2 years ago that he's very clearly over, he's in a perfect position to start this new journey.

Backup combines comedy, text, dance - and hopefully some circus if he can be bothered going to classes - to explore reinvention, love, and getting back up on the horse
(There isn't a horse in this performance.)
Throughout Backup we are having a lot of conversations with Craig about the nature of the project and what shape it might take.
As well as being logistical producers, we are a sounding board for Craig to test out ideas and work together secure funding and residencies.

Backup is currently being workshopped through cabaret nights, before being developed into a full-length theatre performance.
